Donna
update two…
Hello
again lovely ladies, thank you so much for all your comments, been sitting here
reading them to Donna over the phone.
She
was touched, but then I always knew that…lol
She
was hoping to be out today (that’s Friday for those of us that have lost all sense
of time) but the powers that be say nay. She has to stay in till at least Monday.
Oh wait…wait…
Just
got a call from her, she’s being taken down to XRAY now 7.35pm might be some
good news coming.
It
seems it is Guilliane Barre Syndrome
But has been caught early.
The MRI shows that the lower part of her spine has discs that are
resting on nerves and they will have to open her up and remove them. His doesn’t
explain her hands and the bad coordination that seems to be affecting them, so
they are going to have to look into this as well.
(Good job they don’t want to open up her purse, even I don’t know the
combination to that L.)
Once again thank you for all your warm wishes (but
keep em short, we’re only making Mr. Branson richer)
On behalf of Donna and me, thank you and I love you
all J.

I was in Guys all day yesterday myself so I couldn't post - I'm so happy she is being looked after.
Best wishes,

OMG - how scary the past week has been for you both. I've nursed people with GBS and its not a nice disease to have. I hope Donna is getting the best care ever and if it has been caught as early as you say the recovery percentage is so much higher than those who leave it too late, and she'l make a full recovery.
I hope that if it is GBS the infusions go well and the spinal op which she is facing goes smoothly.
Sending lots of positive thoughts for her, and you. Praying for a speedy recovery and that she's back to doing what she loves when she's ready.
I was going to stop by on the 19th Nov on my way back from Newcastle, but I think I might make a rain check as she is going to need all the time to recoup and get better. Let me know if she is up for a visit, I'll even detour to the hospital if she's in the right mood for visitors.
I'll get a card in the post soon
Massive hugs to you and Kody and even bigger ones to Donna
Take care, and keep us updated.

This must be so scary. My thoughts and prayers are with you. I hope for your speedy recovery and have you back with us soon.
Donna, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. While this will take you a bit to come out of, it is remarkable what the Dr. can do. Is it possible to get your mailing address? I have had e-mails asking for it as so many want to send you a card! Get better. hugs patty
Thanks for the update. There is good news (early recovery) and scary news (surgery) but I do keep all fingers and toes X-ed it will all work out fine and she will come home soon!!!
