Sarah Kay Cards for Stampavie DT Call

Stampavie is looking for a new Design Team Member to join their team, so I thought I would make a couple cards using my Sarah Kay stamps and submit them.
For my first card, I used one of the new papers from my forthcoming disk, it's done in a patchwork pattern of brown and a hint of green and red in it.
I colored my image using my Prisma pencils and also my copic markers on her hat and shirt.
The flowers are all Prisma's and some from Poppicrafts. Brads, buttons, pearl floss and leaves are all from my stash. The mushrooms are from Magnolia. I also used my doily lace punch on some green paper and brown cardstock. The gold bits on the sides are cut from mirri card and I used some Craftwork cards card candy on them in matching colors. The sentiment is from WOJ.

For my second card, I again used one of the new papers from my forthcoming disk in yellows and oranges, I colored the image with copics and cut out the shape using nesties, the flowers and swirl are all from my stash. I stamped the greeting directly onto the paper and I attached a calendar so it can be used for the birthdate to be circled when I decide who gets the card....lol
I also attached four flat backed pearls that I colored with copics in the four corners.

I haven't had time today to do the inserts just yet, as we've been out in the side garden painting the older part of the deck to match the new deck we replaced in between the rain.
Thanks for looking, and I hope to catch up with you all soon.

Sending you all big hugs

What a Cute Penpal.....Stamptacular Sunday Challenge

I had this card done last month while I was still part of the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge team, so I figured I may as well enter the challenge with it. The image is called Penpal so it kind of went well with the postcard and airmail stamps that I received from Papirloftet, the flowers charm and brads were also part of the kit, the sentiment is computer generated, and the swirls are from a sizzix die. The papers are from my Designer Extreme Vol. II disk. The card was made following their sketch provided.

Sorry I haven't been around lately, we've been rebuilding the old deck and replacing fence panels this weekend, so I'm falling behind in blogging and blog hopping, but I do appreciate all the comments all you lovely people have been leaving for me.

Take care and I shall be back soon. Sending you all big hugs.

Yum Yum....Strawberries Dipped in Chocolate - Stampin' for the Weekend Challenge #6

This week at Stampin' for the Weekend, we have a wonderful challenge for you "Strawberries dipped in Chocolate" in other words a color scheme of red and brown (these two colors work so well together) For my card I used four papers from my Designer Extreme Vol. II disk
I stamped one of my Sarah Kay stamps onto white cardstock and cut it out with a nestie, then cut out a larger version using brown cardstock to frame it. I colored the image with copics, and chalked the outer edges of the cardstock with brown chalk. The flowers, brad, roses leaves are all from my stash. I used my MSDL punch on the bottom of the paper, I also added a couple papermania dragonflies. The sentiment is computer generated. The bow and ribbon are from my stash and I added a dangly bit with beads and a horseshoe charm, which I colored red with my copics and promarkers.

This week we have the fabulous Simon Says Stamp as our sponsor once again, and Heidi is offering our lucky winner a $25 shopping voucher, what a fabulous prize.
Once again the Stampin' for the Weekend Design Team have come up with some lovely examples for you all.......please take time to visit their blogs and see what beauties they have come up with.

Thanks for looking and I do hope you'll find the time to pop over to the challenge blog and have a go at a card or project yourself.

As Promised Fred She Said BLUE Poinsetta

Aren't these poinsetta's just scrumptious, I really do love them for Christmas cards, and look I've managed to get two Christmas cards done today. You can tell the weather is bad outside....lol These are the blue poinsetta's from Fred She Said, and they are just as beautiful as the red ones, cause face it, we don't all like red & green for Xmas colors, it's nice to have a variety. On this card I did two small ones and one large one and framed it around my sentiment which is a DCWV sentiment. I also added a couple sizzix swirls and some pearls, and put a gem in each corner. The paper is from my next upcoming CD.

Fred She Said Poinsetta's

When I first saw these poinsetta's early this year at Fred She Said, I knew I just had to have them for my Christmas cards, and I had full intentions of starting my Christmas cards early this year, a few each month so I wouldn't be faced with what I had last year, where I was making cards practically non stop in the run up to Christmas. The poinsetta's come in two colors, red and also a blue set and they are both gorgeous. I will be making a card with the blue set later to show you just how fabulous they also look. The background behind the poinsetta's is a holly leaf stamp I've had for a couple years, and thought it would be perfect for a background behind the flowers. I colored the image using watercolor pencils. I went around the outside of the white card with gold holographic peeloff's and mounted it onto green cardstock, I then cut a larger piece of white cardstock and went around the edges with my MSDL punch. I added some pearl floss behind the poinsetta's and some red gems. I also put some clear gems in the centre of the flowers. I used my MSAL punch on the red card to use as a strip behind the whole centerpiece. I then added some pearls to the red card strip and four gold corner peel off's to draw your eye to the centre of the card.

Thanks for looking.........I hope to be back later today with the blue poinsetta's.

Wow! what a response to my DT callout, I couldn't believe the number of people that had applied, far more than I expected, and all such lovely blogs too ladies. I'm really sorry that I could only pick a few of you to join the team.

and our wonderful sponsors this week are Janet from Pink Gem and Linnie from Daisy May

For my card, I used papers from both Designer Extreme Vol. I and Vol. II,in lovely shades of pink and green, the image is of course one of the Gorjuss girls, colored using Copics. I embossed a piece of pink card then cut it out with my nesties and then cut out some circles using my Crop-o-dile. I did some faux stitching on it, and mounted the image off to the left The flowers, and leaves and gems are all from my stash. I cut out a corner and put three clear gems on there, and the sentiment I stamped onto gold paper using Stazon ink.
Thanks for looking and I do hope you find time to join in on our "Double or Nothing" challenge this week. The Design Team have come up with some beautiful cards for your inspiration. So if you like doing sketches head on over and join in this week.

Whiff of Joy Anniversary Blog Hop - Guest Designer Call

Katharina is celebrating her 1st. year Anniversary of Whiff of Joy Stamps, and is planning on holding a Blog Hop on JULY 25TH, and is looking for 15 dedicated WoJ fans who want to guest design for the Whiff of Joy Anniversary Blog Hop. This definitely sounds like a fun event to me and I'd love to be part of it.
So she has come up with a wonderful sketch for you to follow to make a card to be in for a chance to be part of this wonderful event. The winner of course will receive a free stamp and will be part of the BLOG HOP.
For my card I used papers from my Designer Extreme Vol. I & II disks, and I used Melinda with Muffins image, and colored her with Copics. I then cut her out and mounted her on three circles cut with nesties. I also added a nice brown border along the side using my MSDL. The flowers, leaves, gems and pearls are all from my stash. The greeting is from Whiff of Joy and stamped onto a journal tag. The inside of the card I used one of my inserts from Designer Inserts Extreme.
Here's a closeup of Melinda, I added some wee dots to the muffins, look like chocolate chips to me, or it could just be that's my favorite muffin. Thank you for looking, and if you'd like a chance to be part of this great celebration head on over to Katharina's blog and get creating.

Looking for New DT Members

I'm currently looking to expand my Bearly Mine Design Team and invite anyone that would be interested in using my products on their cards and promoting them by regularly posting cards on their blogs and spreading the word to email me. I will be accepting applications till the end of June for anyone that is interested. If you feel that you can meet the requirements of being able to post at least two cards per week using the papers on the disks, please email me with your details and blog address. This DT is for a six month term. In return for being on the team you will receive my current and future disks as renumeration.

Make A Wish.......WOJ Challenge #36

This week at Whiff of Joy, Heather provided us with a lovely sketch to follow. I've had most of this card done last Wed, but with the lovely weather we've been having, I've just finally got round to finishing it, so I could enter it on time....lol
I used Henry with Cupcake and colored him using Copics and I did the icing on the cupcake using 3D lacquer paint to give it a nice glazed look and feel to it. I cut it out with the nesties and mounted it onto another nestie label. I added some leaves and flowers from my stash. The gold pieces on the side are gold mirri card and I added a couple flat back pearls to them.
All the papers are from my Designer Extreme Vol. II disk and the wee ticket is as well.

Thanks for looking and I don't think I will be around much this coming week as the forecast is to be in the 30's, so I shall be spending all of my day outdoors. I hope to catch up with blogging soon.

Awwwww....ain't he sweet

Just had to show you another one of Kimmi's sweet Patchwork Friends, this is little Henry/Henrietta. Again I colored it in psp, then created a little frame for it. I also used one of the papers from Designer Extreme Vol. II and another paper from Vol. III, not yet released. I also used one of the small notepapers included on D.E. II. The sentiment is computer generated, the flowers, leaves and gold wire is from my stash. I also used my MSDL punch and added three white pearls.

I love these new Patchwork Friends Kimmi has been designing and hope she makes some more.....she's also done a wee doggie but I haven't made a card with him yet. But I will.....so stay tuned.

Thanks for looking and I hope you're all having a wonderful day.
