New Digi Set as Promised
Sorry I'm late in getting this uploaded to the blogs, we had a bit of an incident with the painting today, and it was a HUGE MESS OF PAINT everywhere.........but it's all been cleaned up now, thank goodness, only a few casualties with items. I'll really be glad when it's all over and done with, for such a little bungalow, there is certainly a lot of walls.....LOL

Still Alive and Kickin'......and Crafting
Hello everyone out there in blogland, just thought I'd let you all know I am still alive, I've just been incredibly busy. Alan and I are currently repainting the whole house and also doing a major clearout....it's amazing how much stuff you gather over the years, but if it's no longer needed then it's gone, and there has been loads of stuff.
We are hoping to be done with the painting by early next week, so that we can get the Christmas decorations up......and I haven't even started any of my Christmas cards yet. I really must make a start, but all the Christmas cards I had made I took up to the village hairdressers for her to sell.
I've also had a couple orders to complete for people and I was concentrating on those for a bit. Think I'm nearly caught up on most things now. Once the painting is done, I should really be able to catch up with a lot more.
I celebrated my 50th birthday on the 15th, and I'd like to thank all my friends and the lovely ladies for the beautiful cards I received. I proudly displayed them all in front of the television and on the radiator shelf.
Just to show that I have been crafting here is a sweetie dish that I made for a centrepiece on our coffee table full of quality street and After Eights. I used an Easter egg basket as a template and modified it with no slots or handles, then decorated it with papers from the Christmas Sparkles collection and some of my Christmas Tilda stamps.

And here is a 12 days of Christmas Advent Calendar I made for Alan to replace the 12 exploding boxes I made for him a couple years ago, these drawers hold a lot more goodies, I usually put in a message, a lottery ticket and some sweeties for him to open each day. It is currently hanging on the wall beside the Advent calendar he built for me last year out of matchsticks.

And once the kitchen had been repainted and thoroughly cleaned, I created a wall hanging with old compact disks and covered them with gemstones cardstock, and put lace all around the edges, then created a lovely kitchen scene on each one using the Tildas and put a calendar at the bottom. It definitely adds some color to the kitchen. I also took some chipboard letters and spelled out words pertaining to cooking, etc and painted them with acrylic paints in green and yellow and placed them around the kitchen just above the wood panelling. Again it turned out to be a good feature in the kitchen and adds that country look color to a cream and white kitchen.
So yes I have been crafting, just not making cards at the moment. I've also been making Christmas tags, and am part way through making a set of 12 Christmas crackers, which I will put on my blog when they are completed.

And finally last, but not least I have created a new Christmas digi set of papers and inserts called Christmas Frolics that will be coming out tomorrow. I will do a post on both blogs when it is ready to be uploaded. I've not had a chance to make any cards with it yet, but I do so love the cute characters on the papers, and the inserts will be a godsend for me to get those Christmas cards completed.
That's all for now........so hopefully I will be back soon.

A Haunting Good Time at Stampin' for the Weekend
This week at Stampin' for the Weekend, we'd like to see some Halloween creations of yours, be it a card, or anything else Halloween related, as long as it contains either a rubber stamped or a digi image.

It's been ages since I've made a Halloween card, but I really enjoyed making this one. I used Emma the Cat from Fred She Said on this one, the pre colored version, and put a nice big moon behind her and stuck on two bats......well it wouldn't be Halloween without bats now would it. The sentiment is also from Fred She Said in the same set. The flower is done using my retro flower punches and I made a tiny bat charm by printing out the bat on some inkjet shrink plastic, and attached it with some gold chain.
The backing paper is from my Designer Extreme Vol. III disk as are the inserts inside the card.
This week's prize is one from me and my shop Bearly Mine Designs
and the prize on offer is the newest disk Designer Extreme Vol. III

This week's guest designers are Tracy and Beccy.
Please make sure you stop by their blogs and give them a little love and of course, don't forget to visit the blogs of the wonderful Design Team.

Wedding Keepsake Box Card #4
Wedding Keepsake Box Card #3
Wedding Keepsake Box Card #2
My First Card Orders
Hello everyone, sorry I've not been around much. A new place opened up here in Nottingham at a new village and because I had made that card box for my sister in law and brother in law, she was so proud of it that she took it to show it off in the new village, and because of that I've been receiving orders to make more boxes with a wedding theme, so I spent a few days doing those and then also cut, scored and cut some more for a total of 17 boxes. I also finished off all the cards I've made this year and put inserts into them and packaged them up to take to the new village hairdressers, as she wants to display and sell them there........I was gobsmacked but they seem to be selling really well there, so I'm very pleased with that. Here is just one of the wedding keepsake box cards I did for an order. It has the four drawers underneath the card.

Will upload the other keepsake card boxes later today.

AUTUMN SALE
I've posted an autumn sale in my online shop to celebrate the beginning of Autumn and also to celebrate my health, as I'm feeling so much better now. The dizzy spells are only when I lay down now, my back and neck are back to normal and I'm feeling pretty good. So good in fact, that I've managed to finish painting our bedroom this past week, and that's a major achievement now. So I thought it would be nice to celebrate it all with a sale, there's a wonderful selection of Halloween papers, for all of you that love making Halloween cards, and even more Christmas papers, after all you don't want to be late getting your cards done this year.
Now that I've finished painting the bedroom, it's onto other rooms and also some crafting, as I've been busy coloring images the last few days, so I should hopefully have something to share with you all soon.

Helloooooooo I'm Back
Hello everyone, I'm back, and first off I'd just like to thank everyone that sent me such lovely emails. I haven't finished answering them all just yet, but I promise I will get to you all. I'm feeling about 90% better than I was about a month ago, it's been a very long process trying to get my back and neck back to a comfortable situation. It will never be perfect (but I suppose for my age it will do...LOL)
As for the dizzy spells, although I was given medication for it, they didn't seem to be working so I went online for a little self diagnosis and believe I've come up with the problem. It's something I've never heard of before but it's called BPPV which is Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo, and although the spells are only occurring now if I lay down or put my head back, they are still rather annoying, but at least it's not happening everytime I move so that is some improvement. So I've been following the manoeuvre they have suggested and will let you know if it works. I still have a load of blood tests booked for next week.
As for crafting I've not done any in the last month but I did make this box card for my sister in law and hubby, as a combination birthday/housewarming for them. It was a card I had made previously and thought it went well with the box I made with the little drawers, and I'm pleased to say they absolutely loved it, so that made me happy. So I thought I'd share with you my latest creation.

And with not being able to craft for the last month due to the dizziness, I've come to realize just how much of life I am missing out on by spending so much time crafting, blogging and commenting, so I have decided to take a break from it all and just spend some more time with both Alan and Kody and craft "as a hobby" from now on, so I am stepping down from the craft challenge blog "Stampin' for the Weekend" which I created along with my friend Kimmi. I shall still be around and will still pop around visiting blogs and commenting, although it won't be as frequent as it was before. Life for me is too short to sit in front of a computer all day.

The Winner of the Angels Landing Blog Hop and Update
I used Random.org to pick the lucky winner of two sets of images from Angel's Landing......and the lucky winner is Jan Scholl. Congratulations Jan, if you could please email me using the button on the sidebar I will pass along your details to Judi.Thank you all for your lovely comments that you left on my cards.
UPDATE..............
As some of you may be aware, Kim and I put the challenge blog "Stampin' for the Weekend" on hold, as Kim is away at a family funeral and due to my ill health. Well my health is not improving, I am in constant back and neck pain and am suffering from massive almost constant dizzy spells, so I have to put crafting on hold for the time being until this has all subsided. I am on painkillers, anti-inflammatories for my back, and can only rest with the dizzy spells. It appears they are a side effect to the injury done to my back and neck, so I can't sit at the pc for long periods of time, I'm unable to put my head down to do crafting or coloring as it just makes me so dizzy and tightens up the muscles in my neck. So I've had to make the decision to step down from all the design teams until such time as I am in better health.
Hopefully things will improve in a couple weeks or a month's time, I will try and still visit your blogs if and when I can........
hugs

Angels Landing Blog Hop....
Welcome to the September Angels Landing Blog Hop. If you missed the beginning, head over to Judi's digi-stamps blog and follow the links. Today the Design Team is introducing two new digital image sets for September, Autumn Tweetings and Ho Ho Hollydays.
I've made two cards for the Blog Hop, my first card is using the HO HO Hollydays set. I printed out the cat and dog, and then cut part way around them, and then used an oval nestie behind them so they would be sitting part way outside the oval. and I used a scalloped nestie behind them and stamped a greeting within the oval. I also used the Ho Ho Ho and cut each one out separately to put in three little circles again using nesties. The Ho Ho Ho was colored on the computer using one of my papers from Christmas Sparkles. All papers on this card are from my Christmas Sparkles collection. I used Hydrangea flowers in matching colors, a spacer and gemstone. All leaves, pearl floss and gems are from my stash. I also used the MS snowflake punch for a couple snowflakes on the card and used a MS punch for the border.
The inserts I designed specifically for this card using the same cat, dog and wee birdie from the Ho Ho Hollydays set, so they could be placed behind the circles. I also added the Ho Ho Ho from the same set......so many possibilites to adding these cute digi images to your cards. All of the christmas hats they are wearing have crystal glitter on the white parts.
For my second card, I used the little birdies from the Ho Ho Hollydays set, on the wee bird I layered it up and layered the hat three times. I used crystal lacquer on the hat which gives it a nice puffy shiny look. The sentiment is from the same set. I did some faux stitching around the edge of the frame. The flower is from my flowers set and the paper is from Designer Extreme Vol. III, both of which can be found in my shop. The two punched borders are from a MS border punch. I also used a peel off border around the outer edge of the card.
For the inside I used an insert from Designer Extreme Vol. III and a greeting sentiment from DCWV, and then added a couple of the little birds on the inside, colored with copics and i used stickles on their hats.I think these little birdies are just perfect sitting there on the side.I'm not normally a bird person, but these little fellas are just too adorable, that I even fell in love with them.
To celebrate the new releases, Judi is offering some Blog Candy. One lucky winner will receive free download links for his or her choice of any two image sets shown in the Digital Stamps Products section of AngelsLanding.com. To be eligible to win, leave a comment on my Blog Hop post before Sunday September 20, 2009, at 11:00 PM Eastern USA time. I'll use random.org to pick a winner on Monday September 21. A Couple of Christmas Sparkle Cards
I've just finished a couple more Christmas cards showing off papers from the Christmas Sparkle Digi Collection which you can find here
I used a Sarah Kay image for my first card, colored with Copics and promarkers and I used glitter on the white parts. The middle section was a white piece of card that I used my MS Arch Lattice punch on all four sides, then cut out two pieces of the same backing paper in pink and teal and mounted them on top. The snowflakes are from an MS Snowflake punch, roses, card candy, tree charm and purple metallic tape all from my stash. The flowers are from the same Digi set, matching with the papers.
For my second card I used Pip with Presents from Sugar Nellie, mounted on a nestie. I then cut a border using MS punch Embossed Snowflake. and again used metallic tape in matching colors. I used stickles around the scallop circle and also on the design on the paper itself. The snowflakes are an MS punch and gems from my stash.I just love these colors for Christmas cards. I find it makes your cards stand out a little more from all the traditional red, green and gold cards.
It's a Sketch This week at Stampin' for the Weekend

This week we have one of my sketches for you to follow, I loved creating the card as much as I loved creating the sketch for it.
For this card I used one of the sunshine digi images of a scarecrow, after all it is autumn now, so he was quite appropriate. I also printed a mini version of him out on some inkjet shrink paper and proceeded to shrink him down in the oven, and added a chain to it to create a mini charm. The digi image is all paper pieced, the flowers are from Fred She Said, again using the Dotty Flowers set, I made a tiny border using my arch lattice and printed out some maple leaves. The swirls and pearls are from my stash.
All papers are from my Designer Extreme Vol. I disk and the inserts are from my Designer Inserts Extreme Disk.
This week the Lovely Heidi from Simon Says Stamp is offering one lucky winner a $25 gift voucher and free shipping. How awesome is that.

This week we have two wonderful guest designers
Lorraine
Lisa
Please stop by their blogs and leave them some love as well as the rest of the Design Team who have come up with some amazing cards for this challenge.

ABC - Anything but a Card at Angels Landing
For this week's challenge at Angel's Landing, Judi wanted us to create anything but a card, so I went in search of a nestie box tutorial to which I couldn't find one, so devised my own, by using the large nestie shape Labels One, and I cut out a couple smaller ones as well for the cover, I used the Aussie Animals set once again, they are just too cute, and the sentiment is from the pierced tags set. All images were colored using Copics and Promarkers and faux stitching using my white gel pen. I added some flowers in the corner using a retro flower punch and placed a pink rose on top. Gems are from my stash. I also used the doily lace punch to create a nice border around the middle of the box and some purple organza ribbon to keep it all tied together. The bracelet and tag are for picture purposes only.
